If you end up wanting to visit multiple national parks, using Las Vegas as the starting point and then Zion as the first stop will cut down the amount of travel that you have to do in between parks, ultimately creating a multi day tour that will give you exposure to some of the greatest spaces on earth without the extended driving times in between.
