Las Vegas is the perfect starting point for travel to national Parks in the American Southwest.  This is because the positioning that once made Las Vegas perfect stopover as people were traveling across the Mojave Desert from one coast to the other now creates a perfect starting point when trying to visit the more remote regions in the desert.  The majority of the national parks that surround Las Vegas are able to be reached within about 4 hours’ drive, including the Grand Canyon, Bryce and monument valley.  These regions are all worthy of visitation on their own, but when visited as part of a bigger tour you were able to use each location in order to cut down the amount of driving time that you have to do.  Because of Zion Canyon is located only two and half hours from Las Vegas, it is the perfect place to start your multipart tour.  But first driving from Las Vegas to Zion, you’ll be able to spend the majority of your day in the park and exploring without being overly tired from driving all day.  You can then spend either that night or the next day driving to Bryce which is located about 2 hours from Zion.  If you are smart, you can then use the position of Bryce to also visit monument valley or the Grand Canyon on the same trip before returning to Las Vegas.  These are the kinds of ways that tour companies which specialize in national Parks tours from Las Vegas will cut down the amount of time that is spent driving from the starting point to the national park.
