Bryce, Zion and Las Vegas

Bryce, Zion and Las Vegas
It probably seems a little weird have some of the greatest outdoors activities that are available in the United States also be discussed in the same sense is as one of the greatest indoor spaces in the world.  When we’re talking about national parks and using the best means of getting to them, this discussion is applicable.  If you’re thinking about touring any of the national Parks in the American Southwest, is a good idea to use Las Vegas as the starting point.  For this reason, one of the areas that is notoriously based on the indoor living due to extraordinary hot weather is also the perfect starting point for national parks tours.  The most appropriate starting point is always a place that begins the trip but also is the one where you can minimize the amount of travel time as much as possible.  Since Las Vegas was created specifically as a stopover city in the middle of the Mojave Desert, and also functions as the perfect starting point for areas that are within that region.  It used to be the people who were traveling across country by a car or some other form of transportation that was on the ground needed a place to stop and refuel and rest while they were traveling across the desert.  Las Vegas is roughly in the middle of the major population areas, so even after it became a tourist destination on its own, it also became the perfect place to fly into as the starting point for travel to these remote areas.  It grew so popular after a while at the flights and hotels in Las Vegas were more affordable than other cities, basically making it the perfect area to use as your base of operations when you are traveling to the remote parks that are located in the desert.  Where it might take days for you to drive from your home to a place of Zion Canyon or Bryce, you can use this starting point can get there within half day’s drive.  Combine this with the fact that you probably only going to spend a few hours on the flight from your home to Las Vegas and you can see why it makes so much sense to fly instead of driving to the national park of your house.  Las Vegas is also located quite close to Zion Canyon, so if you’re going to plan on visiting multiple national parks, you can travel from Las Vegas to Zion first and only about two and half hours and then take the rest of your trip from there.  Most people who are traveling to Bryce and Zion as well as the grand canyon will break trip up into multiple days with camping in between.  This gives you the ability to have a full day of enjoyment at each park as nimble driving time in between.  The really smart travelers also going to use the fact that there are numerous tour companies who operate out of Las Vegas who can give you a far better experience than trying to drive through the desert on your own.
